So much progress!!
So I've been hard at work on my cosplays and now I have more things to show everyone!!! hahaha. It feels so good to be actually getting stuff done. I just hope I can finish it all in time. Don't want to get myself feeling too relaxed and then end up leaving it all to the last minute. ><;

Anyway, so, last thursday? I think... I went to Jo's place with Lisa and Evan to work on some props.

Evan worked on his Godot mask (phoenix wright):

Maya: Phoenix Wright Progress
I finally got started on my Maya costume for Phoenix Wright!! I decided to make the outer coat thingy first and luckily, with my past experience of cosplaying from Bleach, it was much easier to understand how to go about making the costume.

I made one version first following a tut I found on the internet (different to the one I used for Bleach because that website is down) but I ended up making everything too small. Luckily I had enough material to make another one so on my second try, it worked out. I ended up following my Bleach costume pattern.

It could probably be better, but I think it's alright for something I did totally by myself. My first piece of clothing done totally by myself~!!! ><

More Progress on Serah
So the holidays have been here for just over a week now... or was it two? i can't even remember cause i've been so busy!

But anyway, I've been trying to work on my Serah skirt inbetween all the other stuff I have to do for my parents. I managed to get the pleats done one day. Then I sewed the whole thing together another day. It would have been fine if I'd not been so lazy and didn't interface my waistband and if I'd made it smaller... (i'm always too worried that it won't fit so I made it a bit too big by accident).

Anyway, so after kinda having completed it, I decided to take the whole thing apart and fix it up. I've re-done the pleats so that the skirt is the right width now. Added interfacing to the waistband and my mum says she'll try and help me fix up the zip so that it's hidden nicely.

I just want to get it done!! >< Cause then I have to do heaps of other stuff...

I shall post some pictures of the process work soon~! (Should have taken a photo of it when it was 'done' before I took it apart again...)

Skirt as it is at the moment. Waistband is just placed at the top at the moment.

Lining material I'll be using to make the lining of the skirt. Wouldn't have been bothered but the skirt material is soooo thin!
Serah Progress
So yesterday was the Manifest Picnic. Mel, Lisa, Evan and I decided to drop by to buy Manifest tickets. Before we did though, everyone was awesomely accompanied me to go buy my Serah skirt material.

It looks like this:

I've been meaning to buy it for a while now since I saw it but I was hoping to find something more similar to her skirt pattern before. But now, time's running out and we just decided to get it anyway because we probably weren't going to be able to find something better. (if only the black lines could disappear).

So now I have the material!! And I really just want to start making the skirt but uni is in the way!!! ><
